FAQ
What is Margarita.finance and how does it differ from traditional DeFi platforms?
We are an investment platform that brings Wall Street-style structured products to the crypto world, offering potentially higher yields through customizable “Yield Boosters”. The difference to DeFi platforms lies in focusing on established and secure financial instruments while maintaining a user-friendly interface.
What are “Yield Boosters” and how do they work?
“Yield Boosters” (named Barrier Reverse Convertibles in the TradeFi world) are customizable financial products that allow users to potentially earn higher yields than standard staking. Users choose their crypto asset, lock-up period, and target yield, and the platform uses options strategies to generate returns.
Why did Margarita.finance choose to build on the Solana blockchain?
We chose Solana for its high speed, low cost, composability with a growing DeFi ecosystem.

Initially, we support USDC as the investment currency, with SOL as the underlying asset. More underlyings and investment currencies (such as cbBtc etc.) are planned for the future.
What are the potential risks associated with using Margarita.finance?
The main risks include, besides others, market risk (price volatility of underlying assets), technical risk, regulatory risk, and counterparty risk. We emphasize the importance of understanding these risks and investing responsibly.
What is the roadmap for Margarita.finance's future developments?
By Q4 2024, we’ll introduce sell-back functionality, allowing users to close positions anytime, and add BTC and ETH as new underlyings. We will also expand the platform’s offerings with additional payoff options and onboard more counterparties.
Looking ahead to Q1 2025, we plan to grow our partner ecosystem, introduce a DAO for governance, and launch new structured product types. By Q2 2025 and beyond, we aim to expand beyond the Solana blockchain to other networks, continuing to innovate and provide more opportunities for our users.

What are the potential yields users can expect from Margarita.finance's products?
As an investor you can decide on the yield you want to earn depending on your risk-return appetite while overall yield is capped at 100% APY.
Is Margarita.finance regulated?
The Margarita.finance platform is run by Obligate AG, a regulated financial intermediary based in Switzerland. We adhere to AML standards and are subject to supervision. Also, we for the moment limit the investor side to qualified investors, excluding retail clients. All “Yield Boosters” are provided by STS Digital Ltd, a regulated entity based in Bermuda.
How does Margarita.finance plan to incentivize long-term user participation?
Margarita.finance will incentivize users through active participation in our DAO, giving them a direct voice in governance and platform decisions. Additionally, we’re introducing a sophisticated reward system, where users earn engagement credits through trades, referrals, and activity. These credits can unlock premium features, exclusive products, and potentially convertible tokens in the future, ensuring long-term participation is both meaningful and rewarding.
What partnerships has Margarita.finance established in the DeFi and traditional finance sectors?
There are partnerships already established like for example STS Digital as an initial trading counterparty. More partnerships are planned as part of our expansion strategy.
